How do you use microwave pasta cooker?
Found this “authentic catamount microwave cookware” without directions. Glass bottom with white plastic handle ring and white plastic top with holes to vent steam. Need amt water to amt pasta and cook time.
Well your lucky I have one to and am a former chef, one thing is like in a pot the pasta expands while cooking, and I find warm water speeds up the process, I cook macaroni, penne, rigitoni and smaller shapes, I find it hard to do long pastas, unless you break them, I just add the pasta and cover it with water (salt is an option be does pit the interior), but remember the more pasta the less space when it cooks, so do not use to much 1 to 1 1/2 cups of pasta will result in around 3-4 cups of cooked. I find between 7-10 minutes depending on the size and thickness or the pasta, and whether you like it well cooked or al dente.
I drain it and then let it cook for an additional 2-4 minutes, dry just do not add the sauce in the cooking vessel it stains it and then your other pastas taste of that sauce.
